Refried Beans

1 1/2 cups pinto bean flour (grind in GrainMill)
4 1/2 cups water
1-2 tsp salt, salt to taste
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp cumin
2 pieces bacon, chopped and bacon grease from cooking
1 tsp chili powder or hot sauce or a chopped jalapeno

Cook all on medium heat until thick.

I sat and watched him cook and many times got to act as his sous-chef as he prepared dinner- chopping, grating, stirring. Menial tasks but none the less it gave me a passion for cooking. I will share recipes, tricks of cooking delicious food in a realistic manner- considering the time you have as a mom and budget.
